Who we are

The Reader Makers is run by Lara. If you have any questions about your data, email hello@thereadermakers.com.

What we collect and why

When you sign up for a free resource we collect:

• your email address, to send you the resource and occasional emails with reading ideas
• your first name, if you give it, to address you personally
• whether you're a parent or a teacher, so the emails are relevant to you
• the page you signed up from, so we know which posts and resources are useful

We rely on your consent to do this. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

Who processes your data

Our email list is hosted by Kit (kit.com), which stores and sends emails on our behalf. This website is hosted by our hosting provider. We never sell your data or share it with anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we may keep your email address on a suppression list so we don't email you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
